Jesus said, "if anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers." (Jn. 15:1-11) Seven-hundred years earlier, Isaiah wrote, "the grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of God remains forever." (Is. 40:7,8) One-thousand years before Christ, David sang the words, "Blessed is the man who's delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." (Ps. 1)
If we are to bear fruit and flourish with life, we must be firmly planted in the Word of Christ. When the sun scorches and the rain dries up, we must not be found without roots (Mt. 13). We believe Jesus when he said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (Jn 8:31,32)
The resources here are intended to help every true disciple of Christ grow deep roots in the glorious word of God and bear fruit that will bring glory to the Savior of the world.
